The Anoka Technical College Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in 机器人 and 激光焊接 is a 67-credit program designed for individuals seeking a well-rounded 焊接 background. The 焊接 program consists of technical courses, specifically designed to develop exceptional 焊接 skills utilizing the major 焊接 processes that are vital to industry. This program will train students in fundamentals of ABB, Fanuc and OTC robot 编程 and language. The laser portion of this program will include development and documentation of procedures and qualification of welds, 和 calibration of equipment for 焊接.

The degree program also offers a balance of general education courses to complement the 焊接 courses and to provide students with opportunity to capitalize on a broad-based 焊接 education.

  • 学生 will weld to visual acceptance criteria per applicable American 焊接 Society standards in Gas Tungsten Arc 焊接, Gas Metal Arc 焊接 和 Shielded Metal Arc 焊接 process.
  • 学生 will prepare weld joints and perform 焊接 operations using 焊接 symbol information.
  • 学生 will follow established procedures and policies regarding personal protective gear, shop safety and 焊接 equipment.
  • 学生 will visually examine all work for discontinuities and defects with the knowledge of industry specification.
  • 学生 will work in a team environment and accept constructive criticism.
    学生 will operate safely and proficiently using Oxy-fuel, Plasma and Carbon Air Arc equipment.
  • 学生 will demonstrate the ability to weld to entry level standard per American 焊接 Society on carbon steel, 不锈钢, 和铝.
  • Demonstrate ability to operate robots and lasers safely.
